In a promotional event, Samsung unveiled what it calls the “world’s first upright piano made entirely of Samsung tablets” at Spitalfields Market in London, England. The piano, made with over 100 Galaxy Tab S2s, was unveiled by British singer, actress, reality star and model, Ms. Myleene Klass, whose biggest claim to fame was as a member of the now-defunct British girl band, Hear’Say. Classically-trained pianist Myleene unwrapped a huge present under a Christmas tree to unveil a piano made with over 100 of Samsung’s newest tablet, the Galaxy Tab S2, before sitting down to tinkle on the tablet ivories, the festive music brightening up a cold dark December morning. Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S2 is the latest tablet offering from Samsung, and comes in two different versions, an 8-inch one and a 9.7-inch one. They are powered by an Exynos 5433 processor and come with 3GB of RAM and either 32 or 64 GB of internal storage, with microSD card slots for capacity expansion. For connectivity, Samsung will ship Wi-Fi-only variants as well as those with LTE support, come with dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct and Wi-Fi Hotspot. The device also supports Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, A-GPS and GLONASS and has a microUSB 2.0 port for charging and data syncing. The Tab S2 comes with an 8-megapixel camera on the rear and a 2.1-megapixel camera on the front. The battery on the larger device is a hefty 5,870 mAh unit, while the smaller device carries a battery that’s rated at 4,000 mAh.
